Il Bullmastiff è la nostra passione.

Abbiamo incontrato questa razza solo per caso.
Avevamo già avuto cani in casa prima di loro, ma mai nessuno aveva saputo coinvolgerci con tanta intensità.
Nenci del Brancaleone è stata la nostra prima arrivata. Una bella tigratona con una struttura grande e una sensibilità quasi umana. E' entrata silenziosamente nella nostra vita, costringendoci a fare cose che mai avremmo programmato. Come, ad esempio, andare alle Esposizioni Cinofile anche solo per incontrare altri Bullmastiff. E piano piano eravamo coinvolti fino all'estremo.Talmente coinvolti da sentire la necessità di affiancarle un maschio, naturalmente di grande levatura.
E siamo arrivati ai Dox. Quello dei Dox è un allevamento americano di grande prestigio e soprattutto che produce cani di grande nomea, cani di stazza importante con ottima linea genealogica e garantiti da controlli severi atti ad evitare tare genetiche.
Dopo una estenuante attesa di più di un anno, siamo riusciti ad entrare nella loro booking list per un cucciolo rosso, che discendesse dai loro migliori soggetti come il famoso Fast Freddy, Campione Riproduttore per più anni di seguito ed il fantastico Ivanhoe, un tigrato di importante costituzione e testa.

E' così arrivato il nostro Dox N Canas Cow Boy "Rusty" il primo dei nostri Bravi Ragazzi. Un cane possente con un carattere dolcissimo. Crediamo sia il cane ideale per chiunque desideri un molosso, ma un molosso con il cuore d'oro.
Nenci appena lo ha visto ha deciso che quel Bullmastiff non doveva entrare in casa e soprattutto non poteva avere accesso alla cucina. Rusty ha saputo con la dolcezza, con i continui tentativi di contatto con lei, con il rispetto che sempre le portava, ha saputo farsi accettare anche da lei...
Ora sono una coppia inseparabile... Nenci ha mantenuto il suo primato in casa, ma Rusty si è ritagliato uno spazio enorme nel cuore di tutti noi.

Nel Febbraio 2001 i due fidanzatini hanno deciso di convolare ufficialmente a nozze. Han deciso, diciamo, perché noi in realtà pensavamo di riuscire ad organizzare una cucciolata con il calore successivo ed anche perché Rusty ancora molto giovane non dava segnali di grande interesse. Ma, come al solito, tutto è stato rovesciato dalla loro volontà di ferro. Sono nati, due mesi dopo, nove deliziosi cuccioli: otto maschi ed una femmina, cinque tigrati e quattro fulvi.
Tutti belli come il sole, una vera squadra di bravi ragazzi! Avremmo voluto tenerli tutti ed eravamo molto tristi quando se ne sono andati ma non abbiamo potuto fare a meno di legarne uno alla nostra vita: Ivanhoe, in onore al suo grande nonno.
Il nostro Ivanhoe è fulvo come il padre, un poco più biondo di lui e bello...

I nostri Bravi Ragazzi oggi son proprio loro. Si presentano alle Esposizioni e ottengono buoni risultati e soprattutto attirano le attenzioni e le simpatie dei presenti.
Ivanhoe ha raggiunto in pochi mesi il titolo di Giovane Promessa ENCI, Giovane Campione di San Marino e Best in Show Giovani al Raduno Svizzero a Zurigo. All'età di soli 14 mesi ha totalizzato 7 BOB e 1 BOS.
Non male, no?!
Il 16 Luglio 2002 è arrivata Iarda di Agàfa L'Ase.E' una fantastica biondina di pochi mesi, vispa ed accattivante. La bella storia dei nostri Bravi Ragazzi continua anche con Iarda che porterà all'interno della nostra famiglia di Bullmastiff il patrimonio genetico di un altro blasonato allevamento americano, i Blazin, e quello dei grandi Bullmastiff dei Paesi Nordici.

It was sheer chance we met this breed.
We had dogs before, but no one of them was able to involve us with so much intensity.
Nenci del Brancaleone has been our first Bullmastiff. She is a beautiful brindle female with a strong body and a sensitiveness like a human being.
She quietly entered in our life, obliging us to do things that we did never plan as to go to the shows, even just to meet other Bullmastiffs.
We have been involved little by little. We thought to buy another good specimen of the breed...and we went to Dox.
Dox is a very welknown American kennel that breeds dogs of great importance, with excellent bloodline and guaranteed from strict controls actions to avoid genetic tares.
One year after we were listed in their book list waiting for a red pup out from prestigious bloodlines and important dogs like Fast Freddy, Producer Champion for years, and Ivanhoe, a brindle male of excellent size, body and head.

Dox N Canas Cow Boy "Rusty" , our first Bravi Ragazzi, came home. He is a poweful dog, with a very sweet temperament. We believe he is the ideal dog for anyone desires a molossian, but a molossian with a golden heart.
As soon as Nenci saw him, she decided that he wasnt allowed to enter and expecially into the kitchen. Rusty, with kindness, trying contacts with her, and respecting her, has been able to be accepted by her... They are an inseparable couple... Nenci is the chief of the pack, and Rusty has a big room in the heart of everyone of us.

In February 2001 the engaged couple decided to get married. "They decided", even if we thought to mate them the next time of season since Rusty was very young and he didnt show signs of interest. Everything was changed by their iron will. Two months later nine puppies were born. They were eight males and one female, five brindles and four reds. All of them were beautiful like the sun, a real good fellows team. We would have liked to keep all of them and we were really very sad when they went to their new homes but we couldnt leave one of them, named Ivanhoe, in honour of his important grandsire.
Our Ivanhoe is red like his sire, a little bit blonder and very nice...

They are our Bravi Ragazzi - Good Fellas. They have been going to the Shows and have got some good results and most of all they receive the attention and they are taken at once by the presents.
Ivanhoe gained in a few months the titles of Junior Italian Champion and Junior San Marino Champion and was Best in Show at the Swiss Clubmatch in Zurich. At the young age of 14 months he got 7 BOBs and 1 BOS. It is a very good result, isnt it?
Iarda of Agàfa L'Ase came at us on 16th July 2002. She is a wonderful blond puppy, very lively and joyful. The beautiful story of our Bravi Ragazzi is going on also with Iarda, that will keep into our Bullmastiff family the genetic patrimony of an American Kennel, Blazin, and that one of the important Bullmastiffs of the Nordic Countries.

Questo scrivevamo nel 2002 e da allora sono passati quasi vent’anni. Un lungo periodo che abbiamo condiviso sempre con i nostri “Ragazzi”. Ovviamente i nostri Bullmastiff sono sempre parte integrante della nostra vita e non potremmo mai pensare di non averli al nostro fianco. Durante questi anni abbiamo vissuto con loro soddisfazioni enormi e grandi dolori. Abbiamo vinto titoli europei, mondiali … abbiamo avuto Top Dog per anni e anni… siamo stati proclamati ripetutamente il Miglior Allevamento dalla Direzione dell’ENCI vincendo il Trofeo Annuale di Allevamento. E durante questi anni purtroppo abbiamo perso grandi amici a quattro zampe … cani irripetibili per grande carattere e indiscussa importanza!
Ma siamo sempre qui. A cercare di migliorare il lavoro fatto negli anni passati, a cercare di ritrovare quel carattere, quello sguardo, quella dolcezza che ci aveva riempito il cuore e che abbiamo dovuto salutare “quel giorno terribile”. Perché allevare è proprio questo. E’ AMARE quello che magicamente quel giorno ti trovi a possedere e che ti fa battere il cuore da quanto ti piace. Ed è cercare di fare tuo quel tipo, quell’atteggiamento, quel modo di essere che ti ha conquistato. E cercare di ripeterlo, e di renderlo stabile e continuo nella tua produzione. Produrre il TUO BULLMASTIFF. Unico e irripetibile. UN BRAVO RAGAZZO che tanti cercheranno di imitare ma che solo tu sai come ritrovare e mantenere. Perché è il tuo cuore che ti indica dove cercarlo. E tutti gli imitatori invece cercano tra i tuoi rifiuti spacciando per loro il risultato e cercando di ricomporre un esemplare con i pezzi trovati per caso… Mi dispiace per loro che non hanno capito niente. L’allevamento è amore, ricerca e studio, invenzione e rischio … non si ottiene niente con la “furbizia” e la “miseria”. Ma i “mercanti” questo non lo sanno. Fortunatamente però ci sono tanti ottimi allevatori nel mondo. E in tutti questi anni abbiamo avuto modo di collaborare con alcuni di essi e di cercare insieme nuovi risultati. Anche oggi sperimentiamo nuove strade che comunque ci garantiscano la qualità che conosciamo da anni. E ogni volta che nasce una cucciolata siamo felici e curiosi come la prima volta. E aspettiamo che i cuccioli crescano e ci ripaghino di tante fatiche e di tanti sacrifici. Ma è proprio questo il bello dell’allevare. Sapere che la prossima cucciolata può portarti nuove emozioni e nuovi risultati….il lavoro è tanto, ma NOI SIAMO SEMPRE QUI !

We wrote the above in 2002 and almost twenty years have passed since then. A long period that we have always shared with our "Ragazzi". Obviously our Bullmastiffs are always an integral part of our lives and we could never think of not having them by our side. During these years we have lived with them enormous satisfactions and great pains. We have won European and World titles… we have gained the Top Dog title for years and years… we have been repeatedly proclaimed the Best Breeding by ENCI winning the Annual Breeding Trophy. And during these years, unfortunately, we have lost great four-legged friends ... unrepeatable dogs of great character and undisputed importance!
But we are always here: trying to improve the work done in the past years, trying to find that temperament, that sight, that sweetness that had filled our hearts and that we had to say goodbye on "that terrible day". Because that's what breeding is. It is LOVING what magically you own that day and that makes your heart beat stronger. And it is trying to make that type, that attitude, that way of being that has conquered you. And trying to repeat it, and make it stable and continuous in your breeding. Giving birth to "your Bullmastiff". Unique and unrepeatable. A BRAVO RAGAZZO that many will try to imitate but that only you know how to find and keep. Because it is your heart that tells you where to look for it. And all the imitators, on the other hand, search through your waste, pretending to be the result and trying to reassemble a specimen with the pieces found by chance… I'm sorry for them who don't understand anything. Breeding is love, research and study, invention and risk ... nothing is achieved with "cunning" and "misery". But the "merchants" do not know this. Fortunately, there are many excellent breeders in the world. In all these years we have had the opportunity to collaborate with some of them and to seek new results together. Even today we are experimenting new ways that guarantee us the quality we have known for years. And every time a litter is born we are happy and curious as the first time. We wait for the puppies to grow up and repay us for so many hardships and so many sacrifices. But this is precisely the beauty of breeding. Knowing that the next litter can bring you new emotions and new results… it is an hard work, but WE ARE ALWAYS HERE!
